No. The play 1 does not have an aux input or any input except ethernet. However, the connect has the ability to hook up your record player and cd player (provided that the record player has a phone preamp). You do not need a receiver or an amplifier as the speakers have an amp in them. The play 5 does have an headphone style input...and the playbar has optical audio input to play from your tv. It's a lot to put out at once probably but the connect is your best bet if you want to use play 1 with a record player. I have a lot of play 1 and a connect and I couldn't be happier with the system.
