• As long as you have the “hotspot” option with your provider you can connect very local devices through it. Works great as a temporary solution.

• You use your iphone using the Sonos app and it controls and plays music trough the WiFi. There is an aux port in the back and you could attach a Bluetooth receiver to it. In the near future Sonos is adding airplay 2 and you will be able to play your music using airplay 2. But that requires you to have a router/WiFi.

• If you use it as a hotspot, yes you can . I just did this yesterday, connecting my iphone and the speaker to my work phones hotspot.

• sadly no. i live on campus and I'm using a prepaid hotspot. that's a good alternative.
