The 5 is superb. The 3s imo are just average in comparison.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I considered buying two Play 3's but felt the sound quality of the Play 5 was far superior and I really don't need stereo sound in the room where I use the Play 5. I would suggest buying one Play 5 now to enjoy the sound quality and then save up to but a second one at a later date.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It depends on the setup you have. A PLAY:5 is basically the equivalent of 2 PLAY:3's, for $100 fewer dollars.
I would recommend:
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Go for two play 3's. huge benefit in the sound stage when you have more than 1. Play 3 is actually a very capable speaker and you have the future option of moving them in different rooms for a party.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It all depends on what your trying to do? If your going to put them. In different rooms I would get the two Play 3's. But if you are going to have it playing in one room I would get the Play 5! Much more sound and bass! And if your going to get the Sound Bar get the Play 5
