Hi, and thank you for your question! The great thing about Sonos is that you can place the Sub where you want to. Ideally in a place where the bass response is equally distributed throughout the space. You can Trueplay Tune your Sonos products with an IOS device which means in the matter of a minute or two the sound will be adjusted custom to your room. As far as placement Sub is designed to stand upright or lay flat. Not kidding, try it out if you don't believe us! :)

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I think that placing it against the wall instead of out from the wall, and not placing it in a corner will yield the best results. I place mine about halfway between the corner and the middle of a wall, up against the wall, and then run the TruePlay adjustment through the Sonos app, and you'll be good to go!
