• The demand for displays this large is very, very, very small. And therefore production costs for displays this size is pretty high. So yes, the price is accurate. There are cheaper ways to get same or larger size image though.

• My kids do not even watch our "big" screen TV. They EACH watch either a cell phone or iPad with internet hook up. "Big TVs are for the old folks!" they say. The big screen TV is dead already!
