They didn't on the headset I purchased a few weeks ago. I don't know the mfg date.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Nope. Just got off the phone with sony support and you must have music going thru these to activate the noise canceling feature. Kinda sux if you, like I just want some peace and quiet on an airplane.
