Yeah, the noise cancellation will work in wired mode. These headphones are not exactly durable though as they have fragile hinges that have broken off easily. These are just observations I've commonly noticed from reviewers. Sound is awesome Noise Cancellation is great But its too fragile, Sony has reportedly ignored other people's cries for help after the headphones breaking between 1-12 months.
