No the arms holding the TV are 38 inches apart and the tv isn43 inches wide. Sony did away with the pedistel stand. Sorry
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Not recommended without putting a wider base between the table and TV. The full dimensions of the stand are about 40" wide by 12" deep. You could rest the TV on a slightly narrower base than 40" (with the legs sticking over a bit), but a 26" wide table is too narrow and there will be no front-to-back support -- the TV would tip forward or backward. The 2 legs are narrower at the back and widen toward the front, so 26" will support only about 1-2" of the back of each of the legs with no front-back leverage. You could put a 1/2" or 3/4" piece of plywood centered over the table with the TV on top of that. Cut to 40" x 16" and cover with fabric or contact paper or stick-on veneer.
