“I have Polk Audio sound bar purchased at Best Buy as well. Not sure on how to add the sound bar and for it to be controlled with the Sony Remote? Is it possible to only have one remote to control my direct tv ? I cant figure out how to record tv shows”

You should have the audio system connected to the hdmi 4 (arc) spot on the back of the tv and then you should have it connected. If the system doesn't turn on when you turn on the tv. I'm not sure how to connect it like so. It might not be able to do that since it's a Polk audio system and not Sony.
