• I've had no problems controlling sound with my FIOS remote. You might want to try another channel on the remote if the one you select doesn't work everything on the TV. Everything works fine on my remote including the video source, etc.

• Hi, your Verizon remote may not be compatible with the TV. At this point, getting a universal remote can be an option. Regards, -Mark
