• I play DVD and BluRay on my A9G through an HDMI port, of which there are 4. I also have a portable BluRay player with 2 USB A connectors that I can use on the TV as it has 3 USB A ports.

• If your DVD player has an HDMI output, you can use an HDMI to HDMI cable to connect to your Sony XBR55A9G via one of the HDMI inputs. The Sony tv also has a "VIDEO IN" connection for VCR/Video game equipment/DVD player/Camcorder, so you may be able to use that depending on what kind of connector(s) your DVD has. Good luck!
