“I have the XBR55X800H. While watching TV the screen will slowly dim then turn black but I can still hear sound. I have tried restarting it but it happens all the time.”

I never had this problem probably needs to be returned, unless I have missed a setting that lowers sound if it is in a quieter room or louder in a loud room.
