That is true but you may need a sonly receiver or soundbar to get that to work. Also there is an issue with the tv buzzing when used as a ceneter speaker. I have to get mine serviced which hopefully will eliminate the buzzing.

Yes, the TV can be set up as your center speaker, directions are in the manual.
