No, that’s what LG does on its G3 flagship 4K OLED TV to compete with Sony and Samsung QD OLED TV’s in the overall brightness category. This is a regular WOLED TV, still plenty bright and better processing overall, very comparable to the Sony A90J which I own along with the A80L 83. Hope this helps
