• Bokeh will also depend on how far your interviewee is from the background. If they are closer, the bokeh won’t be as dramatic. But yes, this lens will give you a touch of bokeh. If you want a cheap way to get more bokeh, the 50mm FE 1.8 is only $200 on sale.

• Hi Isabell, Sony's commitment to customer satisfaction is our top priority. This lens can certainly create blurry background. Please note F3.5-5.6 will not be able to give you a level of blurriness like F2.8 or lower F-stop lenses do. This lens will still allow subject to be separated from the background. Please always set the F-stop to the lowest number when you are shooting interview video to allow for maximum separation between subject and background. Thank you so much for your question.
