“Why doesn't Best Buy have a release date but every other retailer does? The release date was announced when the camera was announced in Oct as Dec 30th which has since been updated to Dec 23rd by everyone including the sony website.”

• It's been 4 years, have you figured it out yet? Best Buy wants to wait until they have absolute certainty. Would you be more frustrated by that, or by preordering and expecting it by some date and then being told it won't be available until some even later date?
