• Th alarm gets progressively louder the longer it goes off. At the loudest level you'd have to be deaf not to hear it!

• Hi KathyN, You can djust the volume using VOLUME +/- located on the left side. At the set time, the radio will turn on, or the buzzer will sound gradually increasing in volume. (“A” (or “B”) flashes on the display.) -Jen
