“The manual says the battery will "keep the clock operating during a power interruption," but a previous answer here by a Sony employee said, "It is normal that the display will disappear during power interruption." Is the manual wrong?”

• clock keeps time, but no display during outage, to conserve battery power

• The clock stays on even during interruption because I've unplugged it several times when I moved it. Although, I didn't keep it unplugged for too long.
