Does this microphone cancel out sound in a room? null

There are two options for noise cancellation: Low cut for wind or fans and Noise Cut for background voice mumbles. Low cut works amazing I have that on 24/7. Noise Cut, for me, affects the vocals too much for my purposes. You can also change the mic directions 3 different ways. Omni (all directions) Uni (Front) and Super (Directly Front). There are logos on the device that signify each. Hope this helps!

Not really, you can set the pickup pattern to fit your sound needs. It will reject a the sounds outside of that pattern.
