- Answer Hi soccerdad, The only operation that can be performed when you have the HDR-CX405 connected to a TV is viewing recordings/images. Once you have the camera connected to the TV, make sure the TV is set to the correct HDMI input.

- Answer yes you can. I gave this camera to my daughter in law for Christmas and she was able to mirror the image to their flat screen with sound. No icons on the screen.
