“I have a Sony Bravia XR77A80KAEP and a HT-A5000 sound bar hooked up through a HDMI eArc connection . To use the TV as center speaker do I need to hook up the RCA jack as well or will the signal go by HDMI eARC?”

Hi Nicolaas, Thank you for your inquiry. When a sound bar is connected, center audio is output from both the TV and sound bar, allowing you to enjoy both impactful sound from the sound bar and natural conversations. You can output the center part of the speaker system sound from the TV by connecting the TV with the following method. 1. Connect the speaker system and TV with the HDMI cable (supplied). 2. Connect the S-CENTER SPEAKER IN jack on the TV and the S-CENTER OUT jack on the speaker system with the TV center speaker mode cable (supplied). Note: Even when connecting a sound bar with an S-CENTER OUT terminal, it must be connected to the TV with an HDMI cable like a normal sound bar. Regards, Jess
