“Can I mount this soundbar to the bottom of my TV to make it look like one seamless piece or do I need to have a space between them?”

You need to have it stick out from under the tv. The upfireing speakers need clear air to bounce the sound off of your ceiling. Otherwise your missing a critical reason for buying this exact sound bar.

They tried Rocketfish mount, which was too flimsy to expose the top firing speakers. Then wanted me to place speaker on cabinet. Sent the whole thing back. Very disappointing. Expert was supposed to call me back but never did.

Space is required to ensure that the TV does not interfere with the output surround sound from the bar speaker towards the ceiling.
