Hi Chk2, Thank you for bringing this to our attention, and we're sorry for the confusion. Both connections will give you the best sound quality. However, to have a Dolby Atmos sound and control for HDMI function, we recommend connecting the Z9F via an HDMI cable (rated for high speed and are at least 18 Gbps).
