It has virtual Dolby Atmos. Is it as good as speakers in your ceiling? No. But you can hear it and it does add to the quality of watching a movie.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes but I couldn't tell the difference between stereo and Atmos till I added the rear speakers.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It's able to decode Dolby ATMOS as well as DTS-X. The only soundbar out currently with that technology.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.YES! Sony uses a technology called the Veritcal sound engine to emulate the upwards oriented speakers in other atmos systems. This with their Digital sound enhancement engine allows you to hear the equivelent of 7.1.2 sound.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This does have Dolby Atmos. But It processes sound from a Dolby Atmos signal through its “vertical engine” to give the viewer the impression of sound coming from overhead. Any system that doesn’t use overhead speakers isn’t a true Dolby Atmos system. So no sound bars or upwards firing speakers are true Atmos. They use reflections and software to make sound seem like it is coming from above.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.it does it recrates Atmos with a vertical sound engine no upward speakers but sounds great..
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Dolby Atmos comes in different flavors (ceiling, upfiring and virtualized) to support different use cases. This bar is a good option for those whom have a very high or steeply angled ceiling. You can definitely still hear height effects. There is also a mode within the product which uses Dolby technology to virtualize height information. You can try Vertical Surround and Dolby mode to decide which one you like best. The Sony HTX9000F also supports Dolby Atmos in the same way, although, for some reason, it doesnt show up when filtering for Dolby Atmos sound bars.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Is this bivolt? From 120-240ac?
