Connecting a device such as a TV or Bluray Disc player compatible with the Control for HDMI function by an HDMI cable enables you to easily operate the device by a TV remote control. These functions may work with devices other than those manufactured by Sony, but operation is not guaranteed. • I have a Sony tv, so yes it does. Not sure if it would work with other televisions.
