Thank you for purchasing the HTZ9F. We regret to hear that you're having sound issues when soundbar is connected to your receiver. We'd like to provide information that may help you with the soundbar functionality. The soundbar can only be connected on devices such as TV, computers, smartphones via wired or wireless. The soundbar cannot be connected to a receiver because the Optical output and HDMI ARC output is designed for devices with input such as TV to output sound to the soundbar.
