“Is there a way to connect the soundbar to my tv remote? If I turn up the volume on the tv remote, it turns up the speakers in the tv. But I want it to connect to the soundbar so both speakers are going up at once, just the soundbar speakers.”

You can go into settings on the television to disable the television speakers so only the soundbar speakers are working. If using the ARC HDMI connection, the tv remote will operate the soundbar also.
