“Can these be used to hear a movie offered on the airplane?”

For sure: they work great on a plane, they are even cooler on a train. Comfortable, good sound, and relatively inexpensive.

YES, THEY WERE GREAT. I USED THEM ON A ROUND TRIP JUT LAST WEEK. THEY WORK GREAT.

Hi Dale, yes. The noise canceling function of the MDRZX110NC is actually effective in low-frequency ranges such as in airplanes or trains. It also comes with a plug-adapter for in-flight use. Thanks, -Mark
