This speaker works great as a stand alone. The tone is rich with great clarity. Although I am certain that dual speakers may produce more surround effects the single speaker delivers a great range and depth of sound.

I use it as a stand alone and only have one. I purchased a red one in November and just purchased one as a Christmas gift.

Two of these will link together to create a stereo separation which would be wicked awesome, but just one will do the trick... This thing gets loud!
