A:AnswerHi Kas,
Thank you for the inquiry! Yes, you can still operate this speaker without using the Sony Music Center app. Pairing and connecting to Bluetooth can be done manually.
However, to get the most out of your XE200, the Sony Music Center app allows you to customize other operations and maximize your audio experience. Please take note that some features can be done with the “Sony | Music Center” app like sound quality setting and equalizer adjustment, built-in battery level indication, switching Bluetooth codec, and many more. What you can control with “Sony | Music Center” varies depending on the connected device. Hope this helps.
Regards,
Jess
A:AnswerHi Dutchman,

Bring the party with you and spread sound with the XE200 Wireless speaker. A line shaped diffuser and X-balanced speakers provide a wide sound stage, with powerful bass and richer sound. Pair with IP67 Waterproof, dustproof and shockproof design, this speaker is made for even the strongest elements.

A:AnswerStereo Imaging: Adding a second speaker allows for stereo sound reproduction. With two speakers, you can create a wider soundstage, where different elements of the audio can be localized and heard from different positions within the listening area. This can enhance the overall immersion and realism of the sound.
Sound Distribution: Multiple speakers can help distribute the sound more evenly throughout the room. With only one speaker, the audio may be localized and concentrated in a specific area. Adding a second speaker helps to fill the room with sound and creates a more uniform listening experience.
A:AnswerHello, thanks for your question. The dimensions of this unit are approximately 12.52 inches for the width, 5.43 inches for the height, and 5.35 inches for the depth. Hope this helps.

A:AnswerHi jrfromffx,
Thanks for the question! The Party Connect and Stereo Pair functions on Sony speakers do require the use of the Sony Music Center app for initial setup. Once you have paired the speakers using the app, you can connect them to another Bluetooth device that does not have the app and still enjoy stereo sound. However, the initial pairing and grouping must be done through the app.
To use the Stereo Pair function, 2 SRS-XE300 speakers are required. By connecting 2 speakers via BLUETOOTH connection, you can enjoy more powerful sound.
You can connect multiple speakers (up to 100 speakers) compatible with the Party Connect function via BLUETOOTH connections and enjoy music playback.
The XE300 speaker is perfect for bringing quality sound to your party. The Line-Shape Diffuser sends a wide sound all around, without compromising on quality. Plus, with a long battery life, portable size and impressive durability, this speaker is the perfect partner for your next party, wherever that might be.
Hope this helps! - Kris
A:AnswerHi Melya,
Thank you for the inquiry! Unfortunately, this speaker does not support a built in equalizer to adjust the bass and treble. There are third party apps that can do that for this speaker. We recommend our SRS-XG300 it supports sound quality setting and equalizer adjustment using Sony Music Center app.

A:AnswerHi Lovemusic,
Thank you for your question. The speaker is specifically designed to be paired with supported Sony speakers via Stereo Pair function (another XG300) or the Party Connect function. For more information, please refer to our support website.

A:AnswerHi Scottie,
Thank you for your question. Unfortunately, the USB port is not designed for music playback. It is designed for charging a USB device, such as a smartphone or iPhone. If you need a speaker that supports USB playback, you may want to consider the Sony SRSXG500.
You can still have a great experience with the SRSXG300. A:AnswerHi SKMerganser, thank you for your question. The speaker comes with a USB Type-C® cable only. You can purchase a commercially-available USB AC adaptor capable of delivering an output current of 1.5 A or 3.0 A. It is also safe to leave it plugged because charging stops when the Li-ion battery is full. A topping charge is only applied when the battery voltage drops to a certain level.
To maximize battery life, however, it is better to not keep it plugged in. Environmental conditions, not cycling alone, govern the longevity of lithium-ion batteries.
Do not charge in conditions too cold or too warm (below 41F or above 95F)
When not in use, keep the device stored in a cool place, partially charged.
Operating condition between 30 and 80 percent maximizes battery life.
Lithium-Ion batteries have no memory and are not degraded with partial discharges.
The worst situation is keeping a fully charged battery at elevated temperatures.
The XG300 speaker is perfect for bringing a big sound to a portable party. Whether you’re at home or at the beach, park or poolside, this speaker will give you a great sound even at high volume, and will have enough battery life to keep going as long as you do. And, with a comfortable retractable handle, when you’re ready, just grab it and go.
Hope this helps.

A:AnswerHello Daddoo, Most soundbars are a closed system, meaning they only work with their brand. So no, these will not work with a Samsung soundbar as rear speakers.
As the XE200 is Bluetooth only they will not connect to Sony soundbars as rears, for this, there are specific “rear” speakers.
They can have the audio from certain bars transmitted to them via Bluetooth. This generally means all the audio comes from the connected speaker and not the bar anymore.
Hope this helps, -Sam
A:AnswerThank you for contacting Sony, Jack.
