If the switch box is an impedence matching device. This receiver output stage expects an 8 ohm load so if your box says it shows an 8 ohm load, you should be fine. What the boxes usually do is take the inputs and wire them in series to increase the impedence and protect the amplifier. With 4 speakers you can take groups of two and wire them in series, and then run the two groups in parallel to achieve the required 8 ohm impedence.

Please reach out to your switch box manufacturer or check the instruction manual of the device to check for compatibility with our Sony STRDH190 receiver. Whether you choose to enjoy the warm sound of vinyl via the phono input , or stream music from your digital music collection, you’ve found a perfect match. Don’t forget the receiver’s A=B function lets you connect two pairs of speakers. You can easily switch between A or B or use them all together at the same time. When you factor in the low-profile design, we’re sure you’ve found the flexibility and performance you’ve been looking for! Regards, Sam
