• I can't answer the specific question about am/fm. I bought the Sony for the phono input which other amplifiers don't include. I suspect a tuner could be coupled up as there are inputs on the back of the Sony for various devices. Hope that helps.

• Hi jfraze, thank you for your interest in Sony products! There are no AV receivers on our current line-up that supports AM radio tuner. However, please check these older models STR-DN1050 and STR-DN850 for AM tuner feature. Hope this helps! -Sam
