• Yes, I am using an Optimus 12 inch passive sub woofer on mine. This sub uses dual voice coils.

• Hi chasvb, Thank you for the inquiry! Unfortunately, the unit is not designed to support subwoofers. You may want to consider our receivers that support active subwoofers like the STRDH590 or STRDH790. -David
