Hey OldSchool, this receiver/amp is for 6 - 16 ohms and if your in the store looking, (most) right above the speaker wire jacks on the receiver will be labeled impedance/ohm it's designed to support. If the display receiver is theft proffed in the store, the boxes should be close, flip it around till you see the receiver pic from behind and you will see the label. Online shopping, enlarge the pic of the back side and you should be able to see it the same way. Putting the low impedance could put a strain on the Amps power supply. I have no idea what receivers they have. The only thing you really need to do to enjoy the speakers you already have is look for a unit made to support 4 ohms. Hey, if the phono jacks were detachable I would send it to you. I'm old school pushin large floor stand Kenwoods from back in the day lol Maybe new speakers and get this amp? Great sound and the right options. I hope I was able to help ya out and enjoy your music soon!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This receiver is rated for 6-8 Ohm speakers however if you don’t play at high volume you should be ok with this.
