“I have two old Bose outdoor speakers pre-wired, probably 100ft., all when house was first built. The wiring is extremely heavy, looks like 10 AWG, maybe 12. I just don't know. Are the analog speaker ports large enough to accomodate 10 AWG wire?”

Hi Outdoor, Thanks for your inquiry. You can strip the jacket of your speaker cables to 10 mm (13/32 in) at each end of the speaker cables and then tightly twist the speaker wire strands. Then, you should be able to insert the stripped ends of the cables into the terminals. -Sam
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I think that 12 ga wire is the biggest that will fit in the speaker connectors. You could solder on a smaller gage wire onto the 10 ga wire if they don't fit. I'm really liking the ability to steam my iMusic and Amazon
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I don't think so, the opening is small. Someone said 12 AWG wire just barely fit. But you should be able to splice in a short section of smaller wire to make the connection.
