“Per specs this is 8ohm min impedance. Can it safely drive 2 AWR-650 (each is 8 ohm) put in parallel? Believe parallel connection will result in 4 ohm which is lower than specified 8 ohm for the receiver hence wanted to make sure before I can buy”

Hi SK, thank you for your question. This unit has a speaker impedance of 6 ohms – 16 ohms. Please take note that matching speakers and subwoofer with lower impedance (ohms) and watts than what the A/V receiver is rated may cause damage to the receiver and is not recommended. ~Earl
