“Hello, I am wanting to put this unit in an exterior application, although covered it is somewhat exposed to the elements in the spring and Summer. Will this unit work and lastly does it have an optical input? Thank you”

Hi jetski, No, this receiver doesn't have optical input. This receiver is highly suggested for indoor use only. Regards, ^Ron
