The Bluetooth has an approximate range of 30 m or about 98 feet. Other paired devices can interfere with the connection, like microwaves, a wireless LAN and obstacles can also affect the connection.

The Maximum communication range of Bluetooth for this receiver is 30 m (98.4 feet). Communication range will vary according to whether walls or other obstacles are located between the devices, the material used in the intervening walls, the presence of Radio Frequency interference and other environmental conditions. I use it with my Iphone. It works great at least to 40 feet, haven't really tested beyond that distance. Even without a direct line-of-sight I haven't lost a connection.

I don't have the technical data, but I use this receiver with speakers indoor and outdoor and sometimes I'm playing both and I go without realizing I walk all over (with the iPhone in my pocket) to the backyard, walk around the pool, walk through the house, etc. and it doesn't affect the sound. I'm pretty impressed, but I don't know how far does it really go.
Also, the connection to the iPhone is superfast, as soon as the receiver is turned on.
