“Are speakers necessary to use this receiver with a turntable?”

• Yes, speakers are needed. And speaker wire, bare wire , not the rca plug in wires. I got some basic book shelf speakers from Best Buy.

• Hi Mark, Yes, you need speakers to output sound from the turntable through the receiver. ~Earl
