“Just purchased this and hooked it up today, replaced a 2 year old onkyo that sounded great but died. This one sounds terrible. Its hooked up exactly the same way, sounds one dimensional, no matter the sound mode. Any ideas?”

Are your speakers within the impedance limits? 6 ohms is the minimum.

To ensure optimal listening experience. check that the speaker settings are appropriate by using following settings: Perform Auto Calibration in [Easy Setup] from the home menu. Press AMP MENU, then select “
” - “PATTERN” on the display panel. Then check that sound is output from each speaker correctly by pressing AMP MENU and selecting “ ” - “T. TONE” on the display panel.
