“My TV shelf is 10" deep. Will the legs/feet of this rest on it? I know the total depth is a little over 11", I'm just wondering if the feet are set back at all from the front edge. If not, can you recommend a 7-channel receiver that is more shallow?”

The fronts of the front feet are set back about 1 1/2" from the front of the STR-DH590 receiver. The fronts of the knobs stick out an additional 3/4" beyond the front of the receiver (in case you have glass doors on your shelving unit). I cannot recommend any other receivers.
