A:AnswerHello Antenna,
Unfortunately, you cannot connect an OTA antenna to the AV receiver. Full operation is not guaranteed. The antenna terminal is only for FM radio.

A:AnswerHi Boobielish48,
Thank you for reaching out to us! The STRDH790 can accommodate up to 7.2 speaker system. We recommend connecting speakers with a nominal impedance of 6 ohms to 16 ohms. We also recommend using speaker wires that are anywhere between 12 to 16 gauge. These are most commonly used for connecting speakers to an amplifier or an Audio/Video (A/V) receiver. Check the link below for more technical specifications.

A:AnswerHi Joe,
If the receiver is connected to a TV's HDMI input jack compatible with eARC or ARC function, you can listen to TV sound from the speakers connected to the receiver without connecting an optical digital cable or an audio cable. Set the receiver by the following procedure to output the sound of the TV from the speakers connected to the receiver. Make sure that the control for HDMI on your AV receiver is on. Check the link below on how to.

A:AnswerHello NYWestGuy,
Yes, to fully enjoy theater-like multi-channel surround sound, you need five speakers (two front
speakers, a center speaker, and two surround speakers) and a subwoofer. You can find more information on page 17 from this link below.

A:AnswerHello Customer,
You can set up 2.1 channel If you select [Front Surround] for the sound field setting, you can enjoy surround effects equivalent to that of a 5.1-channel speaker system using only the two front speakers. See page 23 from the link below for more details.

A:AnswerHi mrba,
You can connect your turntable and preamp into any available input, just remember this receiver doesn’t have a phono input, so you absolutely must use your turntable pre-amp.
