The firmware update VER. 1.171 features HDMI 2.1 standardized function which adds support for the latest audio formats and allows you to enjoy object audio content such as Dolby Atmos - Dolby TrueHD and DTS:X or multi-channel LPCM content that cannot be transmitted with the ARC function. It is not mentioned on the update that it will support 8k at 30hz or 4K at 120hz but will work perfectly with PlayStation5 and Xbox Series X.
