just hook up the ultra hdmi cable to your sony, very simple and turn on your blue ray player and your tv will quickly switch to the input from the player. Once you turn off the player your tv will switch back to your service provider(ie directv, cable or dish)

Should be no problem, just plug in the HDMI cable to TV and player. If you want to use Sony Sync you will probably need a compatable TV and instructions.
