• With WIFI, you can stream from Netflix, U tube, Tubi and you can get Apps for things like Pandora, Sirius XM and others.

• You need WIFI if you're going to use the Apps on the player. Ex; Pandora, Vudo, Crackle, Tubi, Prime video, etc. Otherwise yoor just using it as a DVD blue ray player

• If you have an older non-smart TV and no cable or satellite service the player comes with a few video apps with room to add more. Also, if you don’t have an internet line available like we don’t on our patio and have access to a decent WIFI signal you can comfortably watch the videos from the apps.
