“Can the 2022 Sony UBP-X700/m send uncompressed Dolby Atmos and DTS:X audio directly to a sounbar that supports both and has video pass thru? Also is the HDMI Video/Audio out 2.0a ARC or 2.1 eARC? and if it's the former can a firmware update upgrade it?”

To much Bluetooth going on with this unit for you. I have an HDMI from the DVD to a amp, Then an HDMI Arch to the Tv. I’m guessing you need to go from the DVD player with a HDMI into your Smart TV. Then Bluetooth to your sound bar.
