Sony earbuds are touch not button. Touch sensors are not overly sensitive (Sennheiser and Bose touch sensors way to sensitive). Can place and pick up calls, skip songs without reaching for my phone.

When you hear a ring tone, tap the touch sensor on the left or right unit of the headset twice (with an interval of about 0.4 seconds) and receive the call. When you finish talking, tap the touch sensor on the left or right unit of the headset twice (with an interval of about 0.4 seconds) to end the call.
