Hi Thomas, No, the Sony WF-1000XM5 earbuds do not have an automatic feature that answers a phone call simply by taking an earbud out of the case and placing it in your ear. However, you have a couple of options to quickly answer a call without touching your phone: Touch Controls: The standard way to answer a call is by quickly tapping the touch sensor on either earbud twice. Head Gestures: You can enable the "Head Gesture" feature in the Sony | Headphones Connect app. Once enabled, you can accept an incoming call by nodding your head. Thanks for choosing Sony.
