How come the Sony WH-1000XM4 is so loud when you have them off and playing music? This means anybody around me would be able to hear my music and I can’t figure out how to make it loud In my ears but the people around me can’t hear what I’m listening to null

What? These headphones are not that loud when playing, and Sonys sound quality has diminished to non existence.

Hi Dace,

Thanks for bringing this up. When the music does not pause after removing the headphones, open the Sony Headphones Connect app, and make sure that the Pauses when the headphones are taken off setting is set to ON.

For low sound level, you can turn up the volume of the headset and the connected device. The WH-1000XM4 supports an over-the-ear design and super-soft, pressure-relieving ear pads which help with sound isolation and prevent sound leakage to a minimum. Also, make sure to adjust the headset into a comfortable position.
