• They are Bluetooth they will pair with your phone, you will just need to go into settings bluetooth and pair from there. No they are not for workouts these have zero sweat/water resistance. I went through mine in days, but if you do not sweat allot then maybe.

• I find moderate movement activities like walking , housework,Etc. are fine. Not sure I would try to run with them unless you have a smooth stride.

• It works with my iPod touch (4th Generation). So I'll say yes it works with apple equipment.
